growing Microgreens

Hereford High School - Biology classes at Hereford High are buzzing with excitement – and it's not just from the grow lights! Students are ditching the textbooks and getting their hands dirty, growing a variety of microgreens like radish, broccoli, and kale right in their classrooms.

This hands-on project, led by Mr. Efrain Silva, has students involved in every step, from planting seeds to harvesting their own nutrient-packed superfoods. They're experimenting with different growing methods, tracking growth, and even incorporating their harvest into tasty creations in the school cafeteria!

They're learning about science in a fun, engaging way, and developing valuable skills like responsibility, teamwork, and problem-solving.

This microgreen project is proving that learning can be both educational and delicious!
